The short version: please enjoy the photography, share links freely, credit clearly when sharing socially, and ask before using images for anything commercial, promotional, editorial, automated, or product-related. 1. What this covers This policy applies to photographs, image files, captions, embedded metadata, page copy, visual presentation, and other original content on Ethan Hyde Photography and related Ethan Hyde photography properties, unless a specific page or written agreement says otherwise. Third-party tools, fonts, libraries, platform code, and embedded services remain subject to their own licenses. Website source code is not offered as open-source unless a specific repository file says so. 2. What you are welcome to do You may: — View and browse the site. — Link to any public page on the site. — Share links to the portfolio, shop, articles, or individual pages. — Save page URLs for personal reference. — Share one unaltered low-resolution site preview image in a personal, non-commercial social media post, provided that the post gives clear credit to Ethan Hyde and links back to ethanhydephotography.com or the original page. This limited social-sharing permission is meant for normal personal sharing, appreciation, discussion, and recommendation. It does not allow advertising, resale, merchandise, brand use, paid posts, portfolio use by another person, or uploading images into stock libraries, datasets, wallpaper sites, print-on-demand services, or AI systems. 3. Uses that need written permission first Please contact Ethan Hyde before using any image or site content for: — Commercial, promotional, sponsored, or brand use. — Prints, products, merchandise, packaging, posters, album art, book covers, or editorial layouts. — Reposting by businesses, agencies, publications, nonprofits, tourism accounts, galleries, or commercial social media pages. — Film, video, broadcast, presentation, classroom, conference, or exhibition use. — Website headers, backgrounds, templates, app assets, or design references. — Any use where the image becomes part of another product, service, campaign, dataset, or archive. Permission is simple: describe the image, the intended use, where it will appear, duration, territory, and whether it is commercial or unpaid. 4. Uses that are not allowed without written permission Do not: — Copy, reproduce, redistribute, sell, license, sublicense, or publish images outside the limited sharing permission above. — Remove, crop out, obscure, or alter watermarks, copyright notices, captions, or embedded metadata. — Modify images, create derivative works, apply filters, composite the work, or use images as raw material for another artwork or product. — Hotlink, frame, mirror, bulk-download, scrape, archive, or serve images from another site, app, CDN, or service. — Use images in advertising, political messaging, fundraising, endorsements, sponsorships, or paid social posts without written permission. — Imply that Ethan Hyde endorses, sponsors, contributed to, or is affiliated with a person, brand, product, cause, or organization without written permission. 5. AI, scraping, and automated systems Automated discovery and ordinary indexing may occur only to the extent allowed by robots.txt and site headers. That permission is for discovery and search access only; it is not permission to reuse images or metadata. Without written permission, images, captions, metadata, and page content may not be used to train, fine-tune, test, evaluate, benchmark, validate, augment, or improve machine learning systems, generative AI systems, computer vision systems, datasets, embeddings, classifiers, or model outputs. No scraping, mass-downloading, dataset creation, synthetic-data generation, or automated ingestion is permitted beyond ordinary search-engine discovery. 6. Licensing, prints, commissions, and takedowns For licensing, print use, commercial use, reposting, commissions, takedown requests, or infringement reports, contact: licensing[at]ethanhydephotography.com Include the relevant URL or image, intended use, where it will appear, duration, audience size if known, and your contact information. 8. Fair use and legal rights Nothing in this policy is intended to restrict rights that cannot be restricted by law, including legitimate fair use, commentary, criticism, news reporting, or other statutory exceptions where they apply. Except for the limited permissions stated here or a separate written agreement, Ethan Hyde retains all copyright and related rights in the work. 9. Enforcement Friendly sharing is welcome. Unauthorized commercial exploitation, scraping, AI ingestion, removal of attribution or metadata, impersonation, or resale may result in takedown requests, platform reports, licensing invoices, legal claims, and other remedies available under applicable law. This policy is governed by the laws of Nevada, where legally permitted. Disputes should be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, unless applicable law requires a different forum. 10. No warranty Site content is provided as-is.
